Why is my iPad 4 battery draining so fast

1. Define "very quickly" in terms of minutes/hours?
2. What type of usage are you doing when this happens? Streaming videos? Internet browsing? Etc?
3. Have you gone to Settings > Battery and examine what applications are shown as using the most battery?

My iPad 4 I use mainly for listening to radio stations. With the screen scut off. I have the iPad playing many times anywhere from 8 to 12 hours. The battery will last about a week. Using the latest update.
