I can't open my I-Phone 6s

Yesterday I followed the prompts through an up-grade. It required placing my thumb and finger on the white botton to make a thumb prints or finger print. I successfully followed the prompts to the end. Today I can't open my I-phone 6s. It says it doesn't recognize my print. It require me to put in my Passcode. The diagram for inserting numbers is there, but does not include the ampersand that is part of my Password. I can't use my I-Phone 6s at all.

The ampersand is in the keyboard. Click on the "123" button and there you have it. So now that you phone is unlocked you can go to the settings, delete all your fingerprints and re-add your fingerprints. Is that?
