Help my notification bar is stuck halfway down my screen and my home button is broken!

i have an ipod 5 and the home button is broken (because i used it to reset ipod a bunch of times, because of notification bar) and my worst nightmare came true. I went in my notification bar to check my messages and when i went to close it, the bar got stuck. leaving me unable to turn it off or reset it. PLZ HELP!!!

Welcome to iMore! Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch, and toggle AssistiveTouch on. You'll see a little square with a circle inside of it on your screen. Tap on it and you'll see some software buttons, including a software home button. Hold that home button and the power button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
