change apple id

[iMore Question]

I am not new to apple, I have iMac, iPhone, iPad, macbook air & apple tv.

I have had ONE apple id since 2006 its my old married name and I am now getting remarried and want to change the apple id.

When I go to Create apple id the first thing it says is I can not use @icloud I thought this is what the new domain was now. What domain do I use?

Next question. What should I do next? I mean my apple id is my life, this change is not going to be easy so whats the best way to start?

Why not log in to your Apple ID account and just change the email address there?
