typing a text random letters appear when typing the correct letters

Welcome to iMore! Here's a few suggestions:

1. Reset your device by holding the power button and home button down simultaneously until you see the Apple boot logo.
2. Go to Settings > General > Keyboards > Keyboards, remove your default keyboard by swiping left on it and tapping Delete, tap Add New Keyboard..., and reinstall your default keyboard.
3. Try a third party keyboard.
