Does Verizon iPhone 5c (A1532 GSM) support LTE on T-Mobile?

iMore Question

My Verizon iPhone is unlocked, I want to use this phone with T-Mobile, but I have heard that you only get HSPA+ which is mediocre at best, the iPhone supports 2 out of 3 LTE bands that T-Mobile uses, will LTE work?

Welcome to iMore!

Have you considered Straight Talk using the AT&T network? I've had a better experience with this than I did with T-Mobile (I was using Android on T-Mobile, and that may or may not have been the reason for the crappy service). Every phone I've had has been unlocked.... I love the options.

I used the 5c with T-Mobile. It works just fine. The band it is missing is band 12 and TBH it isn't a big deal simply because band 12 isn't everywhere.

You can get an iPhone 5c and use bands 2 and 4 for lte and you will be just fine 95% of the time.

That being said you probably can find a T-Mobile variant or even a 5s for a good price.

Check out swappa.com if you haven't. That's where I brought my iPhone 5c
