Google contacts not syncing on second device

Hey all, I use my iPhone 6s as my daily driver and when I add contacts they are under my google acct. however, on my second line the newly added contacts do not appear. That device is also under Google. Any suggestions?

Have you toggled "contacts" on in Settings > Gmail.

Yup, I just added a contact on my passport and immediately shows up on iPhone. But when I add from iPhone it doesn't show up on PP.

Try toggling contacts off in Settings > > Mail > Gmail. Then choose "Delete from my device". Then toggle contacts back on.

Ok, it seems that since I had my iCloud contacts toggled on as well, the contacts were being added on that account only. When I turned off google contacts it was showing several contacts still that were under iCloud. Once I turned that off ( I should've saved those contacts), the contact app showed nothing. I then toggled on google contacts and added a contact, refreshed my contacts on my passport and it shows up. So in short ,since I had contacts on on both iCloud and Google, it was just syncing with iCloud ...does this make sense? Lol
