Secure notes alternative that is trustworthy?

So iCloud magically deleted my secure notes...

Not going to try that again

Is there another simple secure notes app that works? iOS only is fine but it would be nice to have something cross platform.

Is there another simple secure notes app that works? iOS only is fine but it would be nice to have something cross platform.

How did iCloud "magically delete" your secure notes? Did the non-Apple app back up to your "iCloud Drive"? If so, have you check the "iCloud Drive" via the iCloud Drive app, if enabled? Anyway, have you considered using Evernote or OneNote?

I had some text shortcuts disappear. Reboot brought them back on my MacBook Pro, but on the phone I disabled iCloud Drive and re-enabled it. They came right back.
