Evolving a Pok?mon changes the Pok?mon into a new, stronger Pok?mon. Some don't evolve, some evolve once, and some evolve twice. For example, Tauros doesn't evolve, Pikachu evolves once into Raichu, Caterpie evolves twice, first to Metapod then to Butterfree.

It's fun to evolve them.... I had a bunch of duplicate Pokemon that have morphed into something else, which is cool as it fills up the Pokedex.
