My 16g, iphone 4 is showing that music is less than 1g, photos a little over a 1g, and apps around 500mb. Yet I only have 65mb of unused memory with 13.5g being used. Where did my memory go?

Operating system takes around 5gigs. Check your text messages and email. Attachments and photos also take up memory

I've deleted all my sent emails, and have no emails with attachment or photos in my inbox. None of my text messages have photos, I delete the text photos shortly after receiving them

Thanks for signing up. You can do an iCloud backup and then do a restore. That should free up some memory. Also see if it's an app that's the culprit. Settings storage and manage storage.

Ya, i backed it up today onto my laptop, was thinking of doing restore but paranoid I'll lose a lot of bookmarked stuff on my maps app. Went into manage storage and that is where I got the numbers quoted in original post
