Can parts of a group conversation be deleted?

I was in a group iMessage with two other people. At least two of the comments I had made are no longer in the thread. (I know they had been received because they had been commented on and acknowledged) How does that happen? Can my comments be deleted by someone within the group?

Probably, but I'm not certain of it. I know you can delete individual replies, but I'm not sure if the deletion will sync to all devices associated with the group iMessage. Hopefully, others will chime in soon.

I don't think if someone else deletes your text that it also deletes on your phone as well. Only you can delete the messages on your device. Do you have message set to delete after 30 days? If so, maybe that's it. If you send a text you regret, you can't delete it on your phone and it also delete on the recipient's phone. That's not how it works.
