    Just more storage, however some of the higher capacity drive systems have better graphics cards and faster CPU chips, BUT If you are talking MacBook Pro or Air, then the 128 and 256 are basically the same except drive size. The 512 has a better CPU and graphics card. Now in the iMac line where they offer a 1TB drive (and larger) they have a regular 1TB drive and a "fusion" drive. The fusion drive handles storage more efficiently, it has (well I'm not sure how to explain it) a faster partition that stores your most used apps and a slower partial for the rest of your apps, and it intelligently manages which apps/programs to store where.
