I upgrade my IPhone 6 but now is cannot get my Whatsapp to work. I put my password but keep telling me that is incorrect

I'm not a whatsApp user and I don't know how they associate numbers with devices. Having said that, I recommend you try contacting WhatsApp support.

Does it offer you the option to reset the password? If so, you may need to just change the password. IDK. I never used WhatsApp either.

Password? Whatsapp doesn't require a password.. You enter your phone number and it sends you a six digit code via text and you enter that and you're in. Can you please clarify that this is what you did?
