text messages disapperaring

I have an iphone 6 and today all of my text messages just up and disappeared. I am wondering if I do a reset all settings if this would help bring them back?

Welcome to iMore! No, that wouldn't bring them back. Are they set to expire in 30 days in Settings? You might check that. Settings> Messages > keep messages > set as desired.
Also, you may have inadvertently deleted one or more threads in the thread menu.
