    After upgrade on iPad to 9.3, a password is required to unlock screen. I never set password and never needed one prior to the upgrade. In settings under passcode, there is no option to bypass. Anyone have any ideas?

    Had exactly this issue on an original iPad Air, passcode lockout after a 9.3 update.

    0000 didn't work, nor did the only other passcode I might have used. The device did not have a passcode activated either, prior to update.

    I'm glad I had backed up to iTunes, which I always do prior to an update as I needed a compete reset to factory as well as restore from backup.
