How to find out how many contacts I have?

I have an Iphone 5s running ios 9.2.1 and i want to know how many contacts I have.

I've tried almost everything from these links

The way I did it; Tap the phone icon, tap contacts, tap groups in the top left corner, tap Hide All Contacts then tap Show All Contacts, tap Done. Scroll all the way down to the very bottom of your contacts list and you should see the number listed.
