Hey guys, I just wanted to see what your opinion is on this Indiegogo project called itron.

They said they could charge iTron in only 18 minutes.

    Thoughts?

Welcome to iMore. Like the idea. Would not buy one as I charge my phone every night and can go for a full day plus on that charge if I need too. For the person traveling or constantly on the go, I believe this would work out well for them. Price is right on target for what it is.

Not a huge fan of quick chargers in general. Using the 12w power brick for the iPhone 6s Plus it charges pretty quickly.

I can't answer for all batteries but surely ultra fast charging will heat up a battery more than normal, thereby shortening its life. Perhaps for emergency use ? I do know that fast chargers definitely kill lead acid batteries quickly and we all know lithium ion batteries should not get too hot,So.....
