Why is the 5se coming out after the 6?

I feel like Apple is going backwards. Why a 5se after the 6?

Welcome to iMore! It's coming out after the 6 as the 5se because it is supposedly going to model the 5s closer than it will the 6. We won't know anything for certain until March 21st. I wouldn't get so caught up in model numbers. We have zero confirmation that it's even going to be called "5se".
