How to cancel the old Apple ID for ITunes & AppStores

My current Apple ID for ITunes & AppStores is different from the old one I used a few years ago. However most of the times that old Apple ID appears which makes impossible to purchase any Apps. What shall I do?

Delete those apps purchased or downloaded under the "old" Apple ID and re-purchase/download them under your "new" Apple ID.

Welcome to iMore! How is your old Apple ID still showing up? You can only be signed into App Store using one Apple ID at a time, which means you're signed into the wrong Apple ID on whatever device you're using. Assuming you're on an iOS device go to Settings > iTunes & App Store, check which Apple ID is listed at the top, and sign out if the old Apple ID is showing up there. Then sign in using the correct Apple ID.
