why doesn't I phone 6S scroll text when entering in long email address

When I am entering a long email address in contacts the text is not displayed when the text exceeds 9 characters. In the older phones you can see every character typed.

I just did it and was able to see every character typed via the 9+ character email address I used.

I just tried it on mine and i could also see the letters and numbers typed. it went down to the next line and the display stayed with the blinking cursor. maybe you need a little reboot. just hold the power button down until you see the turn off slider at the top. slide that and then the phone will shut down completely. Give that about 30 seconds and then hold the power button down again and the phone should boot right back up. sometimes the phones just need a little kick in the **** sometimes.
