Welcome to iMore! Are you getting an error message? Are you sure you have enough available storage on your device? To check your storage go to Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage, and then look at your available amount under Storage.
It wouldn't be a limitation of App Store itself. App Store allows apps up to 2GB and has a 100MB cap on downloads over cellular network.
