iPhone 5 home button

Hi ,

Just replaced the home button on an iPhone 5 and the cable underneath as it was a bit temperamental !

Put phone together and now the home button just doesn't do anything at all- I've had the phone undone several times and everything seems ok and fitted properly- any ideas?? It's driving me mad!!

Could the replacement items, specifically the cable, be faulty?
