Why does it seem like I'm locked out of my Apple ID?

I can't do anything involving my Apple ID. I can't view it once I've gone under settings. I can't update or download apps not even free ones. It won't allow me to update my credit card info when it asks. It also keeps saying my payment method was denied although it's a brand new card, it was just activated. Someone please help I'm ready to throw my phone.
