    You don't "open" and iPhone to put the battery in. It's already in there and not removable.

    Here are instructions on the SIM card. How to remove the SIM card in an iPhone or iPad | iMore

    Note that the SIM card tray on is on the side. Look for the tiny hole. You will need paper clip to insert in the hole.
