Back in the olden days, we synced our phones with our Mac mini with Picasa and we liked it.

Now, everything automagically syncs with iCloud and the Photos app, but our phones get filled up all... the... time...

How do we "archive" photos that show up in Photos on the mini? Or am I going about this all wrong?

Personally, I use Google photos, as it is free and unlimited sync, of highest quality ... I'd like to hear from others though...

Whatever suits you. Try several ways and decide. I prefer Box, Dropbox and OneDrive for photos and videos.

Dropbox and Amazon Photos. Original size and works great with iOS.

Do you use the new Photos app? I can't seem to find the originals to upload to Amazon in it.

With the Amazon App will do it automatically if you have the settings on. Original photos, no compression.
