How do I erase the Apple ID connected to the iPad?

My son accidentally inputted the wrong email address when setting up his iPad. I tried to reset it because I thought it was connected to my Apple ID but it turns out that he didn't put the last two digits in my email address so his iPad is connects to another email address. How can I totally erase that email address from the iPad.

Well for him to connect it to another Apple ID, he knew that password. That wasn't a mistake. You can't remove it and that's a feature to protect against stolen devices. You have a paperweight unless you know that password.

Not 100% sure what you are asking but I'll try:

- Settings -> iCloud -- make sure this is the account you want.
- Settings -> Mail Contacts and Calendars -- make sure if an iCloud account is listed here it is the one you want

You'll need the existing password if you have to change it.

You can change the email address if you know the password and security questions. I changed mine a couple years ago.
