My Iphone 6S backspace/delete button gets stuck.

How do I fix this. I hard-powered down and it is still sticking.

Hi and welcome to iMore. Do you meant the on-screen backspace button? If it does that then it's clearly a software glitch. Are you using the standard Apple Keyboard?

You could go to Settings > General > Keyboard and remove it from the list, then reinstall it. See if that works. You could also try a third-party keyboard. Swiftkey is a good one.

You might also try Reset All Settings.
Reset All Settings
Go to Settings >General >Reset >Reset All Settings. This resets to default everything in Settings, including notifications, alerts, brightness, and clock settings like wake up alarms.
This can be a hassle, but cures many issues.
