Ipad is disabled connec to itunes

I was using my Ipad since Christmas with no problem. Then yesterday morning it had the message above. I cannot get it to work no matter what combination of buttons I push. I DO NOT want to download Itunes. How can this be resolved so I can have a working ipad without these issues?

You'll have to connect it to your computer with iTunes installed to restore the iPad.
