My iPhone 6 has a charger symbol at the bottom of the screen with an arrow above it pointing upwards to an iTunes sign what do I do to fix it back to normal

Your phone is in Recovery Mode. Here is the guide from Apple on how to reset it. Read it carefully before attempting. Hope this works for you.
