Why does my deleted emails keep returning

Every time I trash the emails I want deleted, they show back up the next day. I can go from 7 to 111 over night!

I don't know, and I've yet to experience such a thing. Anyway, on what device is this occurring? What Mail app is this occurring with?

I had this happen with mail in the Junk folder. Kept coming back. Only way I could make it stay deleted was to go to the account online and delete those emails. I did it in Safari on my iPhone. I haven't had that problem in a long while now. You might try deleting the email account from your device, then adding it back.
