Why is Apple Media Services all of a sudden using so much data?

I checked my data usage through AT&T yesterday and was at 1.04 GB of my 5 GB plan. At home I'm on wi-fi so I don't use cellular data. Today I left the house and within 30 minutes I was notified that I was over 75% of my data plan. 10 minutes later it was at 90% and 10 minutes after that I was over my data plan. I wasn't even on the phone or running any apps. AT&T tried troubleshooting but the issue appears to be Apple's Media Services. After resetting the phone and checking it used a half GB in less than 30 minutes

I don't know, and my usage in that regard is minimal. Having said that, you might want to go through each and every setting and make any appropriate changes.

Make sure you don't have a app downloading something like pics or music .. I made that mistake I started a download at home on wifi let to go somewhere and it switched to cellular and used gigs of data .. You can also check what apps used cell data in settings so I would take a look at that
