What are the chances my iphone can be saved after submersion?
I dropped my phone into the toilet. It was under water for a few seconds. I immediately turned it off, dried it off, drove it home, removed the sim card, shook it out, swabbed the openings with a twisted q-tip, gently blow dried around the openings (on cool) and put it into a bag of rice. From the time I dropped it into the toilet til the time I put it into the rice, about 30-45 minutes had passed. The reason I'm worried is because when I was shaking it out, I accidentally powered it on. The screen had a thick green line through it, followed by total green screen, then it turned itself off. It has been in the rice for a few hours now. Is there a chance it will survive? What should I do from here?

Welcome to iMore! Honestly, it's a crap shoot. Until it's completely dry it's hard to tell and, even then, problems often surface a while later. Electronics don't like water and internal components could corrode over time. Good luck!
