I have tried going to mail preferences and unchecking and rechecking enable box. The folders are there somewhere but they don't show up under mail

    1. Via your Mac, click on the  icon in the upper left corner of the screen and then select "About This Mac" to see the OS X version installed.
    2. Go to System Preferences → Internet Accounts → {Your Mail accounts} to reconfigure them or try rebooting your Mac to see if the mail folders reappear.
