    Now he cannot get past the first screen which says "Hello". The phone says "Touchpad requires your passcode when IPhone restarts." His phone was set up at the ATT store and he only has icloud passwords. What code is needed here?

    when he setup his finger print it requires you to set a passcode as a back up
    that passcode is what he needs.
