Iphone sending random, incorrect location.

I have my sons iPhone 6 set to notify me when he leaves and arrives at home and school via find my friends. It's now notifying me randomly even when he's not at or leaving these locations. Any idea how to remedy the the problem?

Does the random notification happen when he's in transit to/from home and school, or out and about anywhere?

Maybe cell or WiFi coverage is spotty in some places and the notifications you are receiving are delayed? I have not used the feature yet, but good to know its there for potential future use.

It's kind of hard to determine a pattern. Sometimes it's when he's in transit, sometimes it's delayed etc...I'll check that link you provided. Thank you!
