Why is my iPhone 4 always going mute?

All the keys on my iphone 4 model A1332 is freezing, they are not working, I can not enter the phone and it can not go off also. What can i do?

Try holding power and home buttons down until you see the apple logo. See if that resets things. The iPhone 4 is a pretty old model. It may be on the fritz.
