What Apple Music plan will enable iPad to remotely control Mac mini?

I am currently on the family plan but as I only want to use my iPad as a remote to control my Mac mini which my audio system is connected to, do I need to be on the family plan?

Wouldn't you only need the remote app for that? I'm not understanding how an Music plan would help in this regard.
