Whatsapp chat history restoration

I just switched from an iphone 5 to an iphone 5s. I backed up my whatsapp chats to icloud and now I'm trying to restore it on my 5s. I'm getting the restore chats option but it restarts every time it reaches 80-90% completion. Can someone please tell me why this is happening
