How do I get the volume working on maps with my iphone 6?

Volume is on within the setting in maps. I've checked all I know to check within settings. Recently installed 9.0.2 on iPhone. Cannot get the voice to work with maps. The visual instructions work but cannot get any volume/voice with the directions.
