Why is my notification bar is stuck halfway down my screen?

On my iphone 6, the notification bar is stuck halfway down my screen. I am unable to use my device as the notification bar is in the way. I can't turn off my phone because the part where it says to slide to turn off is covered by the bar. Please help!! What do I do?

Press and hold the home button with the power button until the phone reboots.

1. Get the home button fixed.
2. If you can't restart the computer using assistive touch, you're going to have to allow the battery to discharge and then recharge. Hopefully, that'll remove the notification screen.
