    I wouldn't think. It's a 4s. However, the person who sold it to me, was also the same who bought it back. So I recommended that perhaps their wife had originally enrolled it. That or they might have enrolled it under a different Apple ID.

    If the phone can be set up and used I wouldn't worry about registering it on the support site.
    I would think the support sign up would be for devices that fall into the year warranty or one under Apple Care. Since it's a 4S neither applies.

    I never registered this device through this method. I bought this device used. I only put my Apple ID on it but removed it and wiped it from find my phone. The person I sold it to shows this:

    It said that on my iP 5, and I bought it new. When I went to that site several months ago, there were 2 devices listed. My old iP 4 and an iMac. I never owned a Mac. And my 5 was not there. LOL I called Apple and they helped me straighten it all out.
