Apple Wallet won't open when I double click from lock screen.

When I double tap the lock screen Apple Wallet will not open, feature is enabled in settings. Do I need to register a credit/debit card first for this to work or anyone else having same problem.

About 98% sure you have to enroll a card first.

Yes, you need to activate a cedit/debit card for this to work.

I am having the same problem but have already registered multiple cards. I can open Apple Pay manually after my phone is unlocked or Siri can open it for me but it won't open when I double click the home button from the lock screen.

I don't know about Apple Wallet coming up, but a double click on the lock screen brings up the Apple Pay. If you don't get that, make sure the cards and your bank supports Apple Pay. Also try removing the cards, then add them back in.
