Contact icon missing on Mac

I have OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 My contact icon is missing in mail. I have ability to send mail by clicking + on right side of sending mail page. But I just access list and manage adding or deleting or changing information.

I am using my MBA right now and when I open my mail program and click on the PEN on the left side to compose new message - To the far right is a + sign in a circle and when I click on that it opens my contact list and as long as my contact I want to compose a message to has an email address in the info for them, They will show up for me to select their email address.
