Will my AT&T iPhone 6 plus work on the Verizon Network?
I need to switch from AT&T to Verizon. Will my AT&T iPhone 6 plus work with the Verizon network. I cannot seem to find a clear answer. Some say no because Verizon is CDMA. I understand that Apple makes their phones run on all the networks. What gives here?

Historically, Verizon has not activated devices that were not specifically OEMed for use on their network...
However - I've seen reports of people doing it... you'd need to install an already activated Verizon SIM into the AT&T device and then add the MEID of your phone to to your number on the Verizon account...

Doesn't it depend on whether ATT has unlocked the phone before you try to switch?

Verizon is now activating iPhones that were originally sold for use on other carriers...
Go here: Check device for use on Verizon and follow the directions to check if an iPhone will work on Verizon's network or not... they're also doing it on UNLOCKED Nexus 6 Android devices...
