When you open the email app, hit the little + sign to the right. Will open up to a screen that says Groups on the top left.
Choose from there.

Yes, but you're going to have to 'cherry pick' through your contact list to first create a group. Afterwards, you'll be able to send email to that particular group. Having said that, it's best to create the group via a computer on via your email account's webpage.
