I have an invalid SIM message on my iPad mini.

What does it mean? The iPad was purchased from Apple Store and the SIM has not been altered.
Do I need to do anything about it? The iPad seems to work just fine despite the message.

If you're not using it on any cellular network, you can dismiss the message and use it on wifi fine.
