Restore instead of New

I upgraded my PC to Windows 10. When I plugged my iPhone5s into my PC, it asked me if it was NEW, or to restore. I selected restore, and it loaded all of my OLD iPhone4 photos and info and I lost all of my current photos and contacts. How do I get my current info back?

Do you have a backup? What about iCloud photos?

If you don't have a backup of the photos and contact information, and they are not associated with an iCloud or similar account, you will not be able to retrieve them.
