I want to restore my I phone to a time yesterday i found the backup file

it is an iphone 4 and the version i installed was 8.4 but want to go back to old version as this does not work correctly.
I found the backup file how do I transfer to the iphone?i

You can't go back in iOS versions... they only allow reverting to the previous version for a short time and that time has passed.
