Is it possible to make print quality photos of art work with the iPhone?

Prevailing wisdom online is that you must use a 50mm camera to photograph art, save in RAW, and edit on your computer. Is that true given the recent improvements in iPhone photo technology?

I've printed plenty of pictures taken with my iPhone and they look great.
