    1. Power OFF the device and take a few minutes to de-stress.
    2. Restart your computer, Wi-Fi- router & cable/DSL modem.
    3. Make sure the computer has a good internet connection.
    4. Put the device in DFU mode. Remember, when the device is in DFU mode, the display will be black and not displaying any images.
    5. Connect the device to your computer, and then initiate the computer's iTunes app (preferably, the latest iTunes version).
    6. When iTunes recognizes the device in 'recovery', select to 'restore and update'. If you're trying to bypass the iCloud activation lock, you might as well stop NOW!

    NOTE: If the problem started after selecting 'erase all contents and setting' on a jailbroken iPhone, then this procedure may take several attempts before it finally works. If
